Polls Election 2018 What a Democratic Wave in the House Might Look Like.Joe Ellis/The Clarion-Ledger via AP, File Yesterday I sketched out a plausible scenario for Republicans retaining – though just barely -- the House.  Today I will do the reverse: game out a Democratic win in excess of 40 seats.  Again, I don’t think this involves any ridiculous outcomes, although I do think it requires a lot of breaks for Democrats.  I haven’t given them every competitive seat, as every wave election involves examples of politicians defying the odds: Republican Jim Gerlach of Pennsylvania defied them and held on in 2006 and 2008.  Again, this shouldn’t be read as a strict prediction, but rather a glimpse of what it would take to win 40 seats, and how plausible we should find it. The seats that are baked in:  We start with the wins for Democrats that we cited in yesterday’s “Republican hold” scenario -- AZ-02, CA-39, CA-45, CA-49, CO-6, FL-27, IL-06, IA-01, KS-03, MI-0...

New York (CNN Business)In another sign of the times for retail, Lowe's is closing 51 North American stores. Lowe's said Monday that those locations are underperforming and the decision will help the hardware chain focus on its most profitable stores. "The store closures are a necessary step in our strategic reassessment as we focus on building a stronger business," said CEO Marvin Ellison, in a statement. Retail stores are struggling to adjust to the rapid rise of online shopping, particularly from Amazon (AMZN). Many successful retailers with big stores have adjusted their business strategies to make better use of their physical spaces. Others, including Sears, Kmart and Toys "R" Us, failed. RETAIL IN TURMOIL Sears needs money. And time is running out How Kohl's figured out the Amazon era Hasbro lays off hundreds after Toys 'R' Us bankruptcy Amazon offers free shipping on all holiday orders Jet is going where Walmart can't Lowe...

World Blog by humble servant. Praise be Allah. MEANING GOD Name. Lord of the Universe and BEYOND. ALLAHU AKBAR!

For his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation; all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, ‘What have you done?’ … “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.”

World Blog by humble servant. In biblical history, Nebuchadnezzar is most famous for the conquering of Judah and the destruction of Judah and Jerusalem in 586 BC. Judah had become a tribute state to Babylon in 605 BC but rebelled in 597 BC during the reign of Jehoiachin and then again in 588 BC during the reign of Zedekiah. Tired of the rebellions, and seeing that Judah had not learned its lesson when he invaded, conquered, and deported Judah in 597, Nebuchadnezzar and his general, Nebuzaradan, proceeded to completely destroy the temple and most of Jerusalem, deporting most of the remaining residents to Babylon. In this, Nebuchadnezzar served as God’s instrument of judgment on Judah for its idolatry, unfaithfulness, and disobedience (Jeremiah 25:9).CONFIRMING THIS OUT THE Scripture 2x5=10+9=19

World Blog by humble servant.NBC, Fox News pull Trump immigration ad, Facebook blocks paid promotion NBC came under fire for airing the commercial during its Sunday NFL coverage of a game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers.

Nov. 5, 2018 / 11:43 AM EST By Claire Atkinson NBC and Fox News said on Monday morning that they would no longer air an immigration ad from President Donald Trump that has been widely derided as racially divisive. "After further review, we recognize the insensitive nature of the ad and have decided to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible," said Joe Benarroch, a spokesperson for NBC's advertising sales department. Facebook also took action on Monday, blocking the ad from getting promoted through the company's paid distribution network, though it allowed the ad to remain on Trump's verified Facebook page, where it has been viewed more than on million times. NBC came under fire for airing the commercial during its Sunday NFL coverage of a game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers. The decision to run the ad quickly drew criticism on social media, including from actress Debra Messing, who stars in the NBC comedy ...
