The Road to Freedom: Marcus’s Journey in the Land of Opportunity In the heart of a small, weathered town in Ohio, where rusted factory signs whispered of better days, Marcus Thompson stood at a crossroads. At 35, he carried the weight of a life that hadn’t gone as planned—a high school diploma, a string of odd jobs, and a nagging sense that the world had dealt him a bad hand. But something stirred in Marcus, a spark that refused to dim. This is the story of how he found his way in America, a land of boundless opportunity, rejecting the chains of envy and victimhood to forge a path of self-determination, guided by learning and spirituality. The Whisper of Opportunity Marcus grew up hearing tales of the American Dream, stories of men and women who rose from nothing to build empires. His grandmother, a seamstress who’d stitched her way out of poverty, would say, “America doesn’t hand you success, but it gives you the road to chase it.” Those words echoed as Marcus looked at his life. The ...

RESURRECTION Since time immemorial, we humans have wondered whether death terminates our life or does it carry on subsequently. To arrive at the proper conclusion is of fundamental significance as it decides our conduct throughout this life. If living did come to an end with demise and there was nothing ahead, people would be justified in feeling that “we only live once and so let us eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die” (Luke 12:19, Ecclesiastes 8:15, 1 Corinthians 15:32). These would be the ones who think that the here and now is the be-all and end-all and that it may be okay to believe that the end would justify the means. [23:35-37] “Does he promise you that, after you die and turn into dust and bones, you will come out again? “Impossible, impossible indeed is what is promised to you” We only live this life—we live and die—and we will never be resurrected. But we know this is not so. [45:24-26] They said, “We only live this life; we live and die and only time causes our dea...

JESUS, THE MESSIAH For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of the One who sent me. (John 6:38) The first commandment in the Old Testament is essentially that we are required to worship God alone, that we should not defy God by having other gods besides Him. The two greatest commandments as preached by Jesus were first to “love your Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the greatest commandment. The second is like unto it, that “thou shall love your neighbor as thyself.” Jesus explains from these two commandments, all the laws are derived. Is Jesus Divine? In Isaiah 45:5, we read. “I’m the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside Me.” The major emphasis of Isaiah 45 is to know that God is One, worship Him alone, and have no gods beside Him. There are numerous verses which follow along the same lines as that of Isaiah 45. This brings us the question of how is it possible for the Councils in the...

Returning Back to God Most people believe in the existence of God. Among those who believe in God, there are those who worship Him daily, showing their thankfulness and gratitude for the blessings He has given them to live another day on earth. However, Satan has won the minds of the some believers by influencing the innocent to commit the most blasphemous sin of all, idol-worship. He has been trying his best to influence the innocent believers to place powerless idols next to the Creator against their will. Most of these believers are siding with Satan supporting his claims that God alone is not enough. Satan convinced them that they should mention other names besides God’s name in order to complete their worship of God. [39:45] When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied. The truth is that as long as other names are mentioned besides God,the believers will in...
