Returning Back to God

Most people believe in the existence of God. Among those who believe in God, there are those who worship Him daily, showing their thankfulness and gratitude for the blessings He has given them to live another day on earth.

However, Satan has won the minds of the some believers by influencing the innocent to commit the most blasphemous sin of all, idol-worship. He has been trying his best to influence the innocent believers to place powerless idols next to the Creator against their will. Most of these believers are siding with Satan supporting his claims that God alone is not enough. Satan convinced them that they should mention other names besides God’s name in order to complete their worship of God.

[39:45] When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied.

The truth is that as long as other names are mentioned besides God,the believers will inevitably not worship Him alone. Even Satan told God that the majority of believers are unappreciative in their worship to God alone. Satan is the master of hypnosis that has influenced innocent believers and made them to drift away from God’s grace.

[7:17] “I will come to them from before them, and from behind them, and from their right, and from their left, and You will find that most of them are unappreciative.”

[15:39-42]  He said, “My Lord, since You have willed that I go astray, I will surely entice them on earth; I will send them all astray. Except those among Your worshipers who are devoted absolutely to You alone.” He said, “This is a law that is inviolable. You have no power over My servants. You only have power over the strayers who follow you.”

When some believers are reminded to worship God alone and not to place any idols beside Him, they turn back on their heels and run away from the truth. 

The reason for this is answered in the verse below.

[18:57] Who are more evil than those who are reminded of their Lord’s proofs, then disregard them, without realizing what they are doing. Consequently, we place shields on their hearts to prevent them from understanding it (the Quran), and deafness in their ears. Thus, no matter what you do to guide them, they can never ever be guided.

It is due to the strong ego that we all have that makes the majority turn against the path of God Almighty. The hearts and minds of the innocent believers have been polluted with false innovations and lies, falling into Satan’s trap for so long, unable to break free. These poor souls have become spiritually disabled on the inside while their bodies are physically able. And because of the disability in their souls not giving the attention that it deserves, the physical body overtakes the soul making the person forget about God completely.Most people would rather give more attention to their bodies than to themselves (i.e., the soul, the real person). They forget that this physical body, even if the person has built it big and strong, will one day become a useless piece of garment.

Myth of Intercession

The majority of believers in God believe that they are guided and they wishfully think that the gates of Heaven will be opened for them. They believe in their hearts that their idols such as Muhammad and Jesus will lead them to heaven, regardless of whether they have fulfilled their religious obligations or not. However, according to the Quran it is clear that no intercession is allowed in Submission unless it coincides with God’s will. God’s decision is final. [2:48, 123; 34:23, 43:86 etc.]

We learn from the Quran that Abraham, God’s beloved servant and the founder of Islam (Submission), could not intercede on behalf of his own father [9:114]. Noah could not intercede on behalf of his son [11:46]. Muhammad could not intercede on behalf of his uncle [111:1-3] or relatives [9:80].

If Prophet Muhammad could not intercede on behalf of his uncle or relatives, what makes those who idolize him against his will believe that Muhammad will lead them to heaven? On the contrary, Muhammad will turn down most of his followers on the Day of Resurrection for idolizing him against his will.

[41:6] Say, “I am no more than a human being like you, who has been inspired that your god is one god. You shall be devoted to Him, and ask His forgiveness. Woe to the idol worshipers.

[25:55] Yet, they still set up beside GOD idols that cannot benefit them, nor harm them. Indeed, the disbeliever is an enemy of his Lord.

[46:5]Who is farther astray than those who idolize beside GOD idols that can never respond to them until the Day of Resurrection, and are totally unaware of their worship?

Muhammad himself did not know what would happen to him on the Day of Recompense. So how would he know what will happen to his so-called followers?

[46:9] Say, “I am not different from other messengers. I have no idea what will happen to me or to you. I only follow what is revealed to me. I am no more than a profound Warner.”

Most people think that they will end up in heaven without any certainty or assurance. They think they are doing righteous works and will end up as the winners; little do they know the truth. Thus we have to examine ourselves.

[18:103-104]   Say, “Shall I tell you who the worst losers are? They are the ones whose works in this life are totally astray, but they think that they are doing good.”

[18:105]  Such are the ones who disbelieved in the revelations of their Lord and in meeting Him. Therefore, their works are in vain; on the Day of Resurrection, they have no weight.

In conclusion, the majority of believers in God have been cheated by Satan, falling into his evil schemes of idolatry. Sadly, most people are unaware of their idolatry and that they are under Satan’s spell. The time has now come to us with a chance to escape from Satan’s prison and return back to our Creator, God Almighty and worshipping Him alone.

For this is where our true happiness lies, pleasing God and upholding His commandments and of course thanking Him in our prayers for the happiness and great joy that He has given to us all.

[28:87]  Nor shall you be diverted from GOD's revelations, after they have come to you, and invite the others to your Lord. And do not ever fall into idol worship.

[30:31]  You shall submit to Him, reverence Him, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and - whatever you do - do not ever fall into idol worship.

[34:37]  It is not your money or your children that bring you closer to us. Only those who believe and lead a righteous life will receive the reward for their works, multiplied manifold. In the abode of Paradise they will live in perfect peaceGreatness of God and who is worthy of worship?

[6:95]  GOD is the One who causes the grains and the seeds to crack and germinate. He produces the living from the dead, and the dead from the living. Such is GOD; how could you deviate!

[40:64]  GOD is the One who rendered the earth habitable for you, and the sky a formidable structure, and He designed you, and designed you well. He is the One who provides you with good provisions.* Such is GOD your Lord; Most Exalted is GOD, Lord of the universe.

[30:40]  GOD is the One who created you. He is the One who provides for you. He is the One who puts you to death. He is the One who resurrects you. Can any of your idols do any of these things? Be He glorified. He is much too exalted to have any partners.
