But it is a statement that doesn’t get old or outdated because it is God’s promise and it’s true for all ages and for all generations.
Absolutely, God's allies have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. They are those who believe and lead a righteous life. For them, joy and happiness in this world, as well as in the Hereafter. This is God's unchangeable law. Such is the greatest triumph. — 10:62-64
As for those who discard the worship of all idols, and devote themselves totally to God alone, they have deserved happiness. Give good news to My servants. — 39:17
How can we achieve happiness through submission to God? Our priority in this life should be to fulfill God’s expectations of us. In order to know what God expects of us, we have to know our purpose here in this world.

I did not create the jinns and the humans except to worship Me alone. — 51:56
Knowing that God made us to worship Him alone, we have to live a life that will please God. What pleases Him more than what we say, is our actual intentions and actions to carry out His commandments. The idea that keeping God’s laws is the source of happiness is not new. We can see this idea in the Bible, book of Proverbs:
Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law. — Proverbs 29:18
When pleasing God by keeping His commandments becomes the most important aspect of our life, then God will make everything good for us. This is a promise from God.
God promises those among you who believe and lead a righteous life, that He will make them sovereigns on earth, as He did for those before them, and will establish for them the religion He has chosen for them, and will substitute peace and security for them in place of fear. All this because they worship Me alone; they never set up any idols beside Me. Those who disbelieve after this are the truly wicked. — 24:55
This is God’s promise—sovereigns on earth—all because we worship God alone without setting up any idols besides Him. If we want to become kings and queens on earth, then we have to evaluate our actions and intentions very carefully at every opportunity.
No matter what problem we are having, we must seek to understand the lesson from it. If we are sincere, God will protect our relationship with Him by putting us through different tests. Job, one who was greatly tested according to the Quran, has an attitude we should adopt that is stated in the Book of Job, from the Bible.
Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves, So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. — Job 5:17
The verses go on to explain that we might be hurt, but God’s hands give healing and that He is the one that can deliver us from any of our troubles.

God guarantees victory, health, wealth, peace of mind, and perfect happiness for those who follow His guidance (Quran 2:38; 3:160; 22:38, 40; 24:55; 30:47 & 40:51). This type of mind-set would help us learn from the tests that God sends our way in order to maintain a good relationship with God.
We can be tested with the material things of this world. It’s very natural that we are attracted to the material things of this world, but we know they are just the blessings that God gives us in this life. If we keep this in proper perspective, we will improve our relationship with God. Even Solomon with all his wealth was put to the test by God through his horses (38:31-34). He realized they distracted him from his worship of God. He submitted to God’s will and was blessed with even more material wealth.
You should know that your money and your children are a test, and that God possesses a great recompense. — 8:28
Chasing after material things or “keeping up with the Joneses” is one of the easiest ways to stay miserable. The constant comparison and determination to have better things than others keeps our focus on exactly that—others—not God. Just think, if this was the true measure of happiness, then, when a disaster strikes out the possessions of someone with more or better things than we have, it would increase our happiness. What a terrible thought, but the Quran indicates there are people like this.
When anything good comes your way they hurt, and when something bad happens to you they rejoice. If you steadfastly persevere, and maintain righteousness, their schemes will never hurt you. God is fully aware of everything they do. — 3:120
Happiness does not equal success in this life either, and we may be tested with it also. If our status in life were the measure of happiness, then only the richest, most famous or strongest people among us would be happy.

Just be right in-spite of the disbeliever.
Happiness does not equal success in this life either, and we may be tested with it also. If our status in life were the measure of happiness, then only the richest, most famous or strongest people among us would be happy.
But we know that isn’t true. In the story of the
two men with gardens, given in the Quran (18:32-44), one man clearly says that he is more prosperous than the other. But he didn’t factor God into his success. He ended up sorrowful and lamenting all that he had done in vain. While the other man realized that God was the true source of success, even though he had less to start with.
Adorned for the people are the worldly pleasures, such as the women, having children, piles upon piles of gold and silver, trained horses, livestock, and crops. These are the materials of this world. A far better abode is reserved at God. — 3:14
What is our goal in this life? Is it to get an education, then a job, then a big house, get married, have children, put money in the bank, find a nice retirement place and await our death? Are these our goals?
God wants us to perfect our relationship with Him. He will surely test us through our weak points and try to show us what our defects are so that we can learn from them. God says in the Quran that if we are looking for these types of things, God will give them to us in this world. But if we look for success in the Hereafter, God will provide for us both in this life and in the Hereafter.
Whoever seeks the rewards of the Hereafter, we multiply the rewards for him. And whoever seeks the materials of this world, we give him therefrom, then he receives no share in the Hereafter. — 42:20
In order to check if we are trying to please God alone, we need to examine what we strive to do and the motives behind the striving. Is God the most important thing in our life? Do we strive to do all five of our daily prayers? Do we willingly give our obligatory charity? Do we try hard to make it to the Friday prayer and study the Quran? Do we force ourselves to be with the believers to please them or please Him? Are we careful to observe God’s laws around the believers, only to break them with other people? We’re with God 100% of the time no matter who else we’re with. Do our actions often have to be justified with excuses and exceptions to God’s commandments? Do we talk to promote kindness, tolerance and justice in others, without putting them to practice ourselves?
Do we speak up to others because we honestly want to share our thoughts and understanding with them or do we just want to show off to them? Do we discuss ideas to try to learn with those around us or just to put them down with our knowledge? Who do we try to impress the most—our spouse, our family, our friends, our co-workers, our boss? Do we really have things in order and try to set God as our priority?
Inform the hypocrites that they have incurred painful retribution. They are the ones who ally themselves with disbelievers instead of believers. Are they seeking dignity with them? All dignity belongs with God alone.— 4:138-139
O children of Adam, we have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God's signs, that they may take heed. — 7:26
God controls the minds and hearts of the people. He is the one who puts love, respect, and understanding between us and those around us. But we have to make God our priority first, working hard to be righteous and to do things that are pleasing to Him first before all others.
We are all familiar with what is commonly known as “mid-life crisis.” For those who give priority to this life, happiness seems to increase

Unlike man made books of hadith (sayings attributed to Prophet Muhammad), God witnessed the transmission of the Quran to Muhammad and us.
[6:19] Say, "Whose testimony is the greatest?" Say, "GOD's. He is the witness between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me, to preach it to you and whomever it reaches. Indeed, you bear witness that there are other gods beside GOD." Say, "I do not testify as you do; there is only one god, and I disown your idolatry."
Unlike man made hadith books, the Quran is consistent. The Quran is the best hadith.
[39:23] GOD has revealed herein the best Hadith; a book that is consistent, and points out both ways (to Heaven and Hell). The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for GOD's message. Such is GOD's guidance; He bestows it upon whoever wills (to be guided). As for those sent astray by GOD, nothing can guide them.
Unlike man made hadith books, the source of the Quran is God almighty. Muhammad received it through angel Gabriel.
[2:97] Say, "Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought down this (Quran) into your heart, in accordance with GOD's will, confirming previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers. Unlike man made books of hadith, Muhammad wrote down the Quran by himself. God was his teacher.
[25:5] They also said, "Tales from the past that he wrote down; they were dictated to him day and night
[29:48] You did not read the previous scriptures, nor did you write them with your hand. In that case, the rejectors would have had reason to harbor doubts.
[55:1] The Most Gracious.
[55:2] Teacher of the Quran.
[68:1] NuN, the pen, and what they (the people) write.
[68:2] You have attained a great blessing from your Lord; you are not crazy.
[96:1] Read, in the name of your Lord, who created.
[96:2] He created man from an embryo.
[96:3] Read, and your Lord, Most Exalted.
[96:4] 4+6=10+9=19 Teaches by means of the pen.
Unlike the man made hadiths, the Quran is the only preserved book.
[15:9] Absolutely, we have revealed the reminder, and, absolutely, we will preserve it. The Quran recognizes the Quran as the only genuine hadith.
[7:185] 7+5=12+8=20-1=19Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all the things GOD has created? Does it ever occur to them that the end of their life may be near? Which Hadith, beside this, do they believe in?
[12:111] In their history, there is a lesson for
those who possess intelligence. This is not fabricated Hadith; this (Quran) confirms all previous scriptures, provides the details of everything, and is a beacon and mercy for those who believe.
[31:6] 3x6=18+1=19 Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of GOD without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution.
[39:29] GOD cites the example of a man who deals with disputing partners (Hadith), compared to a man who deals with only one consistent source (Quran). Are they the same? Praise be to GOD; most of them do not know.
[45:6] These are GOD's revelations that we recite to you truthfully. In which Hadith other than GOD and His revelations do they believe?
[52:34] 3x4=12+5=17+2=19Let them produce a Hadith like this, if they are truthful.
[68:44] Therefore, let Me deal with those who reject this Hadith; we will lead them on whence they never perceive.
[77:50] Which Hadith, other than this, do they uphold. Road To Happiness: Seek to Please God
We reserve the abode of the Hereafter for those who do not seek exaltation on earth, nor corruption. The ultimate victory belongs to the righteous. (28:83)
As believers in God alone, our priority in this life should be to fulfill God's expectation of us. We should live a life that will please God. What pleases God is not our utterances, but our actual intentions or actions to carry out His commandments. When pleasing God becomes the most important aspect of one's life, God will make every thing wonderful for him or her:
God promises those among you who believe and lead righteous life, that He will make them sovereigns on earth, as He did for those before them, and will establish for them the religion He has chosen for them, and will substitute peace and security for them in place of fear. All this because they worship Me alone, without setting up any idols besides Me. Those who disbelieve after this are the truly wicked (24:55). God: Number one priority
The number one priority in everyone's life should be to please God. No one or nothing else should take priority before God. What is the number one priority in your life? Is it pleasing God, or your boss? Is it doing your five daily prayers to please God, or pleasing your friends who may not understand why you bow and prostrate? Is it going to the Friday prayer or taking care of your business? Is it to be with the believers in Quranic study or fulfilling your own desires by seeking recreation on Friday nights? What is it? You have to examine yourself carefully, and you must correct the situation immediately. If you put pleasing your friends ahead of pleasing God, God will embarrass you in front of those friends. However, if you put pleasing God ahead of pleasing your friends, God will shower you with dignity and respect in front of those friends. He will make them, force them, to respect you, and even love you. God controls the minds and hearts of all the people. God is the one who makes them love you, or hate you, or respect you.
Do you act differently with the believers than you normally act? Do you speak up and give your opinion to other believers because you honestly want to share your thoughts and understanding with them, or do you simply want them to be impressed by your knowledge? If the reason you speak out is to be respected by the believers, God will take away that respect. Whereas, if you speak out from an honest and sincere desire to express Quran and learn with those around you, God will shower you with admiration from the believers.
Once you make pleasing God the most important thing in your life, you will possess the most valuable thing one can ask for - God's support. But, if you make anything more important than pleasing God, you will be tested over and over. If you do not realize that fact after all the tests, you will lose both in this world and in the Hereafter.

If you want to become a "king" or a "queen" on earth, then, you have to examine yourself sincerely at every opportunity. Anytime you have a problem in any aspect of your life -money, health, relationships, any problem-you must search for the lesson. As soon as you understand the lesson, everything will be all right. The problem will simply go away, and, more importantly, God will make it up to you. All bad effects of the past will be wiped out.
If you are sincere, God will perfect your relationship with Him, by putting you through tests, based on your weaknesses (3:14; 8:28). For example, if you hold anything to be more important than God, He might take it away from you, in order to test you. Therefore, one must ask himself, "What is the most important thing in my life?" If your job is the most important thing, it may be taken away. If your children are the most important aspect of your life, they may be taken away.
