To defend ourselves when we are faced with oppression and aggression.                                                       God enjoins you only from befriending those who fight you because of religion, evict you from your homes, and band together with others to banish you. You shall not befriend them. Those who befriend them are the transgressors [60:8-9]

We are encouraged to have amicable relations with those who do not believe as we do unless they fight us because of our religion.

God does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. God loves the equitable.

Relations with Disbelievers

If we retaliate against people because of injustice, we are supposed to be equitable and just in inflicting punishment. But if we resort to patience and forgiveness, it is better for us even though it is not a very easy thing to do.

Although the just requital for an injustice is an equivalent retribution, those who pardon and maintain righteousness are rewarded by God. He does not love the unjust. [42:40]

Resorting to patience and forgiveness reflects a true strength of character.

To protect our rights.

Certainly, those who stand up for their rights, when injustice befalls them, are not committing any error. 

The wrong ones are those who treat the people unjustly, and resort to aggression without provocation. These have incurred a painful retribution. [42:41-42]

For religious freedom and to eliminate oppression.

You may also fight them to eliminate oppression, and to worship God freely. If they refrain, you shall not aggress; aggression is permitted only against the aggressors. [2:193]

A true Muslim will never initiate an aggressive act. God allows fighting strictly in self-defense, and under certain conditions:

 

Say, “My Lord prohibits only evil deeds, be they obvious or hidden, and sins, and unjustifiable aggression, and to set up beside God powerless idols, and to say about God what you do not know.” [7:33]

O you who believe, do not prohibit good things that are made lawful by God, and do not aggress; God dislikes the aggressors. [5:87]

In the Name of Religion 

Muslims should look in the mirror, and reflect on themselves. Are they really following the word of God in the Quran, or the innovations that have nothing to do with the religion? The problem is that the Muslim masses don’t even know what is in the Quran to make that judgment. Thanks to their bearded, turbaned, and close-minded scholars who constantly refer to sources other than the Quran to conduct their affairs .

The Western world perceives the religion of Islam as a very barbaric and primitive religion. But anyone who reads the Quran will realize that Islam (Submission) is quite different than this perception, and has almost nothing to do with what is being presented and practiced by the so-called Muslim countries. In fact, Islam is a beautiful, compassionate, and very progressive religion with no non-sense. So, why is this gem of truth concealed, abandoned, or misrepresented? Who is responsible? Who is to blame, the Western world or ourselves?

TRUE ISLAM

Verse 3:18 states the First Pillar of Islam (Submission): "God bears witness that there is no other god besides Him, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge."

We are not trying to convert anyone, but only to present the true Islam (Submission) to the world. God specifically states in the Quran that: There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient. [2:256] 2x6=12+5=17+2=19

No Compulsion in Religion

Surely those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. [Quran 2:62, 5:69] bialtaakid 'uwlayik aladhin amnuu , alyahud walnasaraa walmutahawiluna. 'ayu shakhs (1) yumin biallah , w (2) yumin bialyawm alakhir , w (3) yaeish hayatan salihatan , sayahsul ealaa 'ajrih min rabihim ; lays ladayhim ma yakhshawnah walan yahzanuu. [alquran 2:62 , 5:69]

There are many more people out there who are Submitters in heart, but we may not be aware of them. Furthermore, they themselves may not know where to fit in. How can one know if he or she might qualify to be called a Submitter? The minimum criteria to be a Submitter are given in the following verses.

 

While every religion has been corrupted by innovations, traditions, and false, idolatrous doctrines, there may be “Submitters” within every religion. There may be Submitters who call themselves Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or anything else. This is a concept some of the traditional Muslims will fiercely object to, even though it is in the Quran, and we experience it constantly.

They are not all the same; among the followers of the scripture, there are those who are righteous. They recite GOD’s revelations through the night, and they fall prostrate. [3:113]

One of the reasons for this objection could be due to the implication of the terminology used. For example, the phrase “Christian Submitter” may seem to introduce a conflict, since the traditional definition of a Christian is one who believes in the divinity of Christ. However, there are Christians who consider this idea to be blasphemous, and consequently they believe that Jesus was only a messenger of God. Similarly, there are people in other religions who believe in God Almighty, believe that they are accountable for their works, and they are righteous. A criterion of the true Submitters is that they will find nothing objectionable in the basic Quranic teachings when they encounter them.

All these people are Submitters, and they collectively constitute the only religion acceptable to God.

Say, “We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters.” [3:84]

Submitters only in Islam?

Let us meditate on God, 

His glorious attributes, 

who is the basis of everything in this universe as its Creator, 

who is fit to be worshiped 

as Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient...

The commandment to worship God alone is also found in the Hindu scriptures:

Hear, O Israel! 

The Lord our God is One God!

Therefore you shall adore 

the Lord your God

with all your heart,...

Although the word “Submitter” is the English equivalent of the Arabic word “Muslim,” and the word “Submission” is the English equivalent of the Arabic word “Islam,” the underlying implication of these words is very profound, and far from the superficial meanings that are traditionally understood or used.

A Submitter can be defined as a person who submits to the will of God. The state of Submission, which can only take place between the person and God Almighty .Submitter and Submission.                                

Lessons from the Past

[10:13] Many a generation we have annihilated before you when they transgressed. Their messengers went to them with clear proofs, but they refused to believe. We thus requite the guilty people.

Now It Is Your Turn

[10:14] Then we made you inheritors of the earth after them, to see how you will do.

Every Letter Calculated and Divinely Designed

[10:15] When our revelations are recited to them, those who do not expect to meet us say, "Bring a Quran* other than this, or change it!" Say, "I cannot possibly change it on my own. I simply follow what is revealed to me. I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the retribution of an awesome day."

[10:16] Say, "Had GOD willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would you have known anything about it. I have lived among you a whole life before this (and you have known me as a sane, truthful person). Do you not understand?"

[10:17] Who is more evil than one who fabricates lies about GOD, or rejects His revelations. Certainly, the transgressors never succeed.

[10:18] 18+1=19+0=19 They worship beside GOD idols that possess no power to harm them or benefit them, and they say, "These are our intercessors at GOD!" Say, "Are you informing GOD of something He does not know in the heavens or the earth?" Be He glorified. He is the Most High; far above needing partners.

[10:19]19+0=19x1=19  The people used to be one congregation, then they disputed. If it were not for a predetermined word from your Lord, they would have been judged immediately regarding their disputes.
