SANDUSKY — Sandusky is on a hot streak as it fights to win big in two nationwide contests.
For the second week in a row, Sandusky holds the first-place position for Best Coastal Small Town, a contest hosted by USA Today. Sandusky climbed the leaderboard slightly in the Best Midwestern Small Town category, from fifth to fourth place.
In 2019, Sandusky first took home the title of Best Coastal Small Town. This win exemplified the city’s growth, and many community members agreed that another win would help put Sandusky on people’s radar.
“This contest validates things Sandusky residents already know, and that is Sandusky is an incredible place,” said McKenzie Spriggs, executive director of Destination Sandusky. “Winning this contest again would continue to build our pride in the city we live in and shows those all over the country that Sandusky is truly something special.”
People can cast their vote for Sandusky once a day every day through Feb. 20 on 10best.com and track Sandusky’s progress toward the top of the leaderboard.
